Indescribable - Book Review: 100 Devotions About God and Science
"In the beginning God created the sky and the earth. The earth was empty and had no form ... Then God said, "Let there be light!" Genesis 1 : 1 - 3
Children are naturally curious human beings. Tell a child not to touch the stove, and he most likely will. In his book Indescribable, Louie Giglio gives 100 devotions, amazing facts and practical applications to satisfy every child's curiosity about the world in which we live. Pastor Louie makes it easy for children to understand that the same God who created the stars, and every species of plant and animal life is the same God who created each one of us.
Indescribable describes the wonders of God's creation in such simple and clear language that children cannot fail to understand and appreciate the book. Even though the targeted audience is children, I found the content fascinating and I learned many things I didn't know before - like sea otters using stones as hammers to crack open abalone shells to get their food!
One hundred entries from Louie cover topics from all
areas of science, with devotions on these issues and more:
Creation
Evolution
Animals
Dinosaurs
Space and the universe
Molecules and tiny matter
Medical science and medical miracles
Our amazing bodies
Geology and fossils
Weather and the atmosphere
This devotional will be unique, engaging, and beautifully
designed. Parents will be thrilled to share the messages of
both science and faith with their children,
giving Indescribable major appeal for
years to come.
This is a fabulous resource for Christian families and for
Christian schools and programs.
I look forward to presenting this book to my grand-daughter Jen, who at 9, will be able to read it with little help from me or her mom. If you are looking for a way to teach your youngster about the wonders of God,I highly recommend this book.
